Assalamualaikum and Hello to My Dear World,
Today it is a second time I try to post something on this blog. Hopefully I can make it. Actually I'm having what people call mental-blocked. You have so many things to write but not all them actually can be put into writing.
However, I think I wanted to talk about my line of work. This is basically as an introduction to the world about myself. I worked at university ( in my opinion, one of the best in my country) and I really enjoyed my work. This is because I worked with students, which involve monitoring, advising and conducting. Normally when student wanted to organize any events, they will come and discuss with me. I do miss arguing with them and helping them to organize any scale of events, because this is the true process of creating a good graduate.
Students learned a lot when they involve in extra curricular activities. The benefits actually depends on their intention. Some of them wanted to be praise while others involve for the sake of grades. Regardless what are the intentions, these students will have some advantages that the normal non-active students do not have. For instance, they will be more confident, proactive, creative and resilient compared to the normal students. These attributes can be obtain and develop while you working with others such as private sector/NGO's, community and local government.
Organizing an events meaning you have to be able to communicate well and become a good team player. Your leadership must be good and above all this, you must have passion and brain. All of these you can not earn in your classroom! You have to step outside and explore the world. Use your creativity and knowledge to change or serve the world. UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ARE SUPPOSE TO CHANGE THE WORLD. They can't afford to let the world change them.
University students should free from any political agenda or whatever agenda that can limit the possibility for them to grow. Adults should only guide them to be a good and excellent students not more or less. This is because, at the end of the day, everyone have to make a choice. When you've made the decision then only you will bare the consequences.
That is me for the past 12 months....talking to my beloved students, giving them options and ideas of life. Now, my part in helping students in their activities is limited. However, I have a big task in my hand now. My new and challenging task is to prepare the new students for their campus life. I do hope all of them will have a good and excellent period in campus. We want to have an excellent student with good personality and the end of the day, this student will become a great citizen. I pray to Allah to make my path easier and all the lessons are blessed.
